Train Dispatcher is a free game made for the love of it. Play it, enjoy it, share it. It comes with no warranty and no promises: it may have bugs, it may go offline, and it is not run by, endorsed by or connected to Amtrak, NJ Transit, the LIRR, the MTA or any other railroad.
It is entertainment. It is not a training tool and not a signalling system. Nothing in it should be relied on for anything in the real world.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Michael Civitillo (“we”, “us”), the operator of the Train Dispatcher game at traindispatchergame.com (the “Game”). By loading or playing the Game you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Game. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Game only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
The Game is provided at no charge. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, no in-game currency, no advertising and no paid tier. We do not collect payment information because there is no payment. Nothing in these Terms obliges us to keep the Game running, and we may change, suspend or discontinue it, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or liability.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to load and play the Game for your own non-commercial enjoyment. We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Without our permission you may not: sell access to the Game or bundle it into a paid product; re-publish it as your own; remove or alter attribution; or use it in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product. Linking to the Game is welcome and always has been.
The Game's code, artwork, text, sounds and design are protected by copyright and remain ours or our licensors'.
This matters more than anything else on this page. The Game is a work of entertainment. It is a simplified and dramatised portrayal of railroad dispatching, built for enjoyment rather than operational fidelity, and it omits nearly everything the real job consists of.
The Game depicts a fictionalised version of a real place, and it uses real railroad, line, station and train names so that it feels like the railroad it is about.
We are not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by, endorsed by or connected to the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), NJ Transit, the Long Island Rail Road, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, or any other railroad, transit agency, company or public body, in any way.
All trademarks, service marks, trade names and logos are the property of their respective owners. They are used here only nominatively — to refer to the real services being depicted — as commentary and as part of a creative work about railroading, and no claim of ownership or affiliation is made or intended. Schedules, train numbers, track assignments, historical events and operating practices in the Game are dramatised and should not be taken as accurate. If you are a rights holder with a concern about how something is depicted, please write to us and we will listen.
The only thing you can enter is a dispatcher name. If the Daily Trick leaderboard is enabled, that name is published next to your score for other players to see. You are responsible for what you type, and by submitting it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display it in the Game for as long as the entry exists.
Do not submit a name that is obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, that impersonates someone else, that infringes anyone's rights, or that contains personal information about you or anyone else. We may remove, refuse or replace any entry, at any time, for any reason or none, without notice.
Leaderboard scores are submitted by the browser and are not verified. They can be forged, and some of them probably are. Treat the standings as entertainment; they are not a record of anything and we make no representation that they are accurate.
Play fairly and do not attack the thing. Specifically, you agree not to:
We may block access to anyone who does. Because the Game requires no account, this is a right we reserve rather than a promise about how effectively we can enforce it.
The Game contains moving graphics, flashing signal lamps and sound. A very small percentage of people may experience seizures, dizziness, altered vision or other symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, including while using a screen, even with no prior history of epilepsy. If you experience any such symptom, stop playing immediately and consult a doctor. Take regular breaks, play in a well-lit room, and stop if you feel tired, dizzy or unwell. Nothing in the Game is medical advice.
The Game keeps no accounts and collects essentially nothing. How the little that does move is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
The Game is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and, if standings are enabled, its leaderboard runs on Cloudflare Workers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them or for the content of any third-party site we link to.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights. In such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the least extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Game, your breach of these Terms, or content you submit. This does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own conduct.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this address, with its effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the Game's title screen. Continuing to play after a revision takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, stop using the Game.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Game are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and we agree that the state and federal courts located in Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute, and consent to venue there.
If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts or to the protection of mandatory local consumer law, this section does not deprive you of that right.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will stay in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Game. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Game and supersede any prior understanding.
